So many dates are geared toward romance and civilized behavior that it can be tough for a man to relax and enjoy himself these days. Don't worry girls, this is not to say that he isn't enjoying his time with you (he is) it's just that sunset picnics aren't something he would normally think of doing for fun.

So, if you're looking to impress your guy with some crazy date ideas, roll out one of these testosterone-fueled beauties and see what his face looks like when he really gets excited about your plans. (once again, nothing personal)

White water rafting
A man needs to battle nature once in a while just to remind it who's in charge. Surprise him with a trip to a class 2 or 3 river for a day on the rapids, or even better an overnight adventure! That way he not only takes a beating on the river but gets to sleep in the dirt too. Nice.

Bungee Jumping
If his life isn't hanging in the balance then a man's probably not having fun. Bungee jumping is the perfect date for adrenaline junkies, and while cranes and towers can be nice, find your man a good bridge.

Zip Lining
Okay, so this date only ranks about a 5 on the Manly Scale but a good course can offer some serious altitude and speed. Just toss in the occasional shriek and he'll be feeling manly soon enough.

Paintball
Movies and videogames have taught all men that they are natural born killing machines. Let him prove it at the local paintball field where he can do glorious battle with deadly accountants, cunning cashiers, and hordes of wisecracking kids.

Indoor Skydiving
What this idea lacks in manliness it makes up for in fun. Plus there's always the off-chance that he can hurt himself. They tend to keep these things pretty safe but he'll try.

This is one of those crazy date ideas that a man has to check off at some point in his life. Might as well take care of it now.

Glider Ride
With no roaring engine or exhaust fumes, this is a good date for the sensitive manly man. He may be a little unsettled by the peace and quiet of the flight but will comfort himself knowing that you could plunge to your deaths at any time.

Air Combat
Every man in the world thinks he would make a damn good fighter pilot. Maybe not Top Gun good, but definitely above average. Take him up on it with a dogfight in old WWII fighter planes. Biplane rides can be a good option too, just make sure they offer loops, rolls, and other terrifying stunts.

Paragliding or Hang Gliding Lesson
There’s engines, protective gear, and plenty of opportunities for your man to hurt himself on this one. He'll love it!

Off Roading
A man likes to tear through nature on a steed of iron and steel - one that may careen out of control if his manly strength fails for but a moment. Support this urge by planning a day of ATVs or dune buggies in the wild.
