Rock Paper Scissors for the Win

I love Rock-Paper-Scissors. I actually think it should be used to determine most of life's tough choices. "Should we send a manned mission to Mars?" "I don't know, best 2 out of 3? " or "What's that? You want to invade Turkmenistan? Not if my scissors have anything to say about it!" Perfect. I say it's time to forget all this nonsense about reason or fairness and embrace a completely random life. Which should work particularly well in relationships where disagreements are pretty much all subjective anyway, right? I think widespread use of Rock-Paper-Scissors may add years to the average marriage.

So why don't you take the idea out for a test drive this week? Use Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who comes out a little bit ahead on some romantic fun. For example:

• Full Body Massage
  This is an easy one. 3 out of 5 throws, winner gets rubbed.
• Spend the Evening
  Each of you picks an activity. I'm going to say it's dancing for the girls and...how about watching a game for the guys? Best 2 out of 3 picks your evening, the loser doesn't complain.
• King or Queen for a Night
  The king doesn't go for majorities, he plays straight up. One throw takes all. Whoever wins gets to make all of the decisions that night – dinner, movie, dessert, and late-night activities. (yep)
• Where you Gonna Do It?
  Each of you picks a fun place to do it (you know, IT it). Winner chooses the spot.

Have fun celebrating the randomness of life! And a tip for my loyal readers: studies show that men are more likely to throw a rock first and women scissors. That'll be our little secret, now go win some yum yum.
